About Me
My Mentorship: These past two semester I have had my mentorship at the Hall Country Courthouse. I have had the privilege to shadow and observe cases, trial selection, first appearances, domestic/criminal cases, and also drug court among other things. My mentor has been Judge Jason Deal, a Superior Judge. Because of my mentorship, my mentor and also just observing day to day court activities, I can state that in every case there will rarely be a happy ending for both or either party. The judge is there to try and make a compromise and this often times goes against what one or both parties wanted. To be a successful lawyer though you must be able to convince the judge, and jury, based on the facts and try to get your client the most of what they ask/desire. But also, success is not all about who won. It is also about if justice was served, and if the lawyer keeps their integrity despite the emotions that could get involved.
